Since it is the inaugural post of my blog, may I share with you TWO things that rocked my socks off today.
#1. I got to watch 5 minutes of Saved by the Bell before work this morning.

Who knew the classic t.v. show of my youth still had re-runs! (Albeit, at 6:30 in the morning when most are sound asleep...) I already own several seasons on DVD, but today's episode was a throwback to the early years of Miss Bliss. And those five minutes were indeed bliss as I took a trip (a short trip) down memory lane.
#2. Chivalry at its Finest
Watching said episode of Saved by the Bell actually came to bite me in the end. I did indeed leave the house relatively on time, but those 5 extra minutes would have been much appreciated later...when I found a small scale model of the frozen wasteland of Antarctica placed on my front windshield. It had snowed yesterday, but much of it had melted in the day. However, that which did not melt or which came in the night stuck to my window and decided to freeze and cling with all its might.
This situation did NOT rock my socks off, especially since the better of my two snow scrapers were nowhere to be found. And I was wearing sandals. Poor wardrobe choice, I know. What did was that the driver next to me cleaned off his own roof and then proceeded to help me with mine. I needed it. While I still left twenty minutes later than expected, the kind gesture of this gentleman - who probably needed to get to work asap as well - made my day. Thanks, neighbor!
Anything rock your socks today?
